This Culinary Tour is about the food as much as it is about connecting with the essence of the place. This volcanic & tectonic part of the world is beaming with the energy of the forming earth, as well as the vibrant climate of sun & water that provides an incredibly rich heritage of unique foods: fruits, insects, greens and roots unknown to most westerners.
We begin our tour in Chiang Mai, in the mountainous North of Thailand, learning to prepare (and eat) the region’s cuisine and exploring the ancient city’s temples and history. From Chiang Mai we head to the relaxing village of Pai for a few days of R&R, hot springs, massages and more. Finally, we finish our journey with a weekend in Bangkok, taking in the modern food movement and nightlife of the big city culminating in a fantastic plated farewell dinner.
